The Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy was established on 19th February 1974 by the Bangladesh National Parliament Act, and the order was approved by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Council on 9th September 1976. District Shilpakala Academy, Nilphamari, has been working to achieve its desired goals by organizing national music training workshops, including skilled trainers in different departments at the local and national levels, providing syllabus based training, regular parenting and ethnic cell formation, film assembly and many other programs.
